Golden Happenings Norwegian Luncheon

Golden Happenings hosted a Norwegian Luncheon on August 22 as well as a Program on Norway presented by Pastor Rolf at Greenfield Lutheran Church. 45 people attended along with coverage by KTTC-TV which was viewed on the 5-6 & 10 o’clock news that day! Guests were served a plethora of Norwegian treats from lefse to herring and everything in between. Betty Dowe, Golden Happenings founder, along with Zoey Case, did rosemaling demonstrations for people.

Betty said,”I’ll have somebody say, ‘Thank you so much.  You got me out of the house.  I met some new people.  I met my neighbor, you know,”. Betty works hard to provide opportunities for our senior citizens in Harmony with many events throughout the week such as exercise classes and card club.

Golden Happenings’ next trip will be on September 12 at 11:30am when they will “Experience Japan”. It will be presented by Cindy Ofstedal at her home. Attendees will taste Japanese food and see a great program.

Members are 50+ years old from the surrounding area. Membership is free.
