Tour Minnesota’s largest Amish population with Amish Tours of Harmony! Tours are booked out of the Sugar Plum House or by phone. Van tours run at 10:30am & 1:30pm Monday through Saturday, or you can call to arrange for a tour guide to meet you and take you around the Amish countryside in your own vehicle. Amish Tours of Harmony can also arrange for a guide to meet your bus group. This time of year you can except to see Amish men working with their teams of horses in farm fields, Amish greenhouses, and you will be able to stop and shop for baked goods, Amish quilts, Amish furniture, baskets and many more goodies.

Root River & Harmony-Preston Valley State Bike Trail

It’s a beautiful time of year for biking! Watch the countryside come alive with greenery as you pedal your way through sixty miles of paved, DNR maintained bike trail. The trail travels through pastoral settings, offering ample opportunities to see wildlife. Not a cyclist? Walk, hike or roller blade on the trail instead! The trail starts right behind Harmony’s Visitor Center, the perfect place to stop in and get information on local happenings, cool off after your bike ride, check out restaurant menus or take advantage of the free Wi-Fi.

Local Eateries

Harmony is home to five independently owned restaurants. Patio seating is available at Estelle’s Eatery and On The Crunchy Side. Both restaurants feature a great beer selection, and each offers their own style of from scratch cooking. Try Lisa’s pizza at On The Crunchy Side, or the steak nachos at Estelle’s!

For breakfast or lunch, try Julie’s Village Square for espresso drinks and a fun menu- Julie’s is famous for it’s pie! Harmony House Restaurant serves up old fashioned comfort food in the form of farmer’s breakfasts and lunch specials with real mashed potatoes on the side.

Wheeler’s Bar & Grill is Harmony’s own roller skating rink, and offers a bar and dinner menu.

Harmony is home to New Generations of Harmony antique mall, a 10,000 square foot space filled with antiques, collectables, vintage ware, primitives & more! Open daily from 10am-5pm, and featuring over 80 vendors, you’re sure to find something you love.  Just up the road in Canton, Lumberyard Antiques offers five rooms filled with treasures.

For lovers of all things floral, stop at Harmony Gardens & Floral to check out their bedding plant selection. They also offer bouquets, balloons, chocolates, cards, gifts & more!
