Kirsten Mock, a 17 year old Harmony resident, is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. Kirsten was born with many complex health issues, including only one severely damaged kidney. She is currently going to Rochester three days per week for dialysis. Kirsten’s family is looking for a person to donate a kidney.
Friends of the family have organized a benefit to assist the family with their expenses and raise awareness of Kirsten’s condition. The benefit will be held on Friday, March 31st at the Harmony Community Center. The benefit will feature The Danger Committee, a knife throwing comedy act who have been seen on America’s Got Talent and perform at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
Also featured will be a special presentation on how you can help Kirsten with a kidney donation.
Starting at 5:30pm, a supper, bake sale, silent auction and raffles will be offered.
The Danger Committee’s performance starts at 6:30pm, with tickets costing $10 for adults and $5 for children.
You can follow Kirsten’s story on Facebook at A Kidney for Kirsten.
If you would like to donate an item for the silent auction, contact Amber Coaty at (507)676-5456.
