Century Farms

The Century Farms exhibit is an interactive digital presentation on farming in the area with an emphasis on farms that had applied for and obtained Century Farm certification through the Minnesota Farm Bureau.

This area is roughly the old Harmony School District and includes parts of York, Bristol, Harmony, Canton, Amherst and Preston townships in Fillmore County and currently includes nearly 50 farms.

The digital presentation consists of a touchscreen computer connected to a large screen TV, allowing users to interactively explore and display information on the farms. HAHS volunteers created the software and collected and organized data on each farm, which includes but is not limited to:

In addition, video interviews with a number of owners, covering more than 20 farms were conducted.
