Celebrate the Charm of Autumn at Fall for Harmony – A Day of Creativity, Flavor, and Community!

Save the Date: Saturday, September 20th — and get ready to soak in the crisp autumn air in one of Minnesota’s most charming small towns: Harmony! From 10 AM to 2 PM, the town will be buzzing with colorful fall vibes, family-friendly fun, mouthwatering local eats, and hands-on experiences during the Fall for Harmony celebration.

Shoppers line the streets during Harmony’s 2024 Fall for Harmony event

Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning fan, there’s something magical about how Harmony comes alive this time of year. Scroll to the bottom of this post for the full schedule of events—but first, here are a few highlights you won’t want to miss!

🎭 Puppet Making with “In the Heart of the Beast”

Step into the world of imagination with a free puppet-making workshop hosted by the renowned Minneapolis-based “In the Heart of the Beast” puppet theater, sponsored by the Harmony Arts Board and Tinker and Makes. Located at the Trailhead Park near the Harmony Visitor Center from 10AM–2PM, this hands-on experience invites kids and adults alike to create their own puppet masterpieces. It’s the perfect blend of art, community, and storytelling magic—don’t miss it! Facebook event link here.

🐑 Farm to Fiber at Tinker & Makes

Over at Tinker & Makes (64 Main Ave N), experience the full journey “from farm to fiber.” This special in-store feature highlights the incredible work of Blackberry Blossom Farm, Myseester Vintage, and The Woven Bunker, showcasing wool processing and live needle felting demos from 10AM–2PM. You’ll leave inspired—and maybe even with a new appreciation for the art of fiber making!

🎨 New This Year: Art on the Green Makers Market

A new addition to this year’s Fall for Harmony celebration is the debut of the Art on the Green Makers Market, held on the lawn at the Harmony Visitor Center. This brand-new event is the vision of a student member of the City of Harmony Arts Board, whose passion for art and community inspired the creation of this vibrant new event. From 10AM–2PM, visitors can browse the offerings of local makers, artists, and crafters, all showcasing their handmade work in an open-air market format.

🥖 Lefse Pop-Up at Kingsley Mercantile

No fall celebration in Minnesota is complete without lefse! Kingsley Mercantile (2 Main Ave E) is hosting a special lefse pop-up with Nancy Scrabeck & Christine Olson. Grab your lefse (while supplies last!) and enjoy a little bite of tradition.

📸 Strike a Pose at Bee Balm Boutique!

Stop into Bee Balm Boutique for a fun photo op hosted by J Photography and Design. Shoppers can pose with their purchases for a playful “hunting trophy style” photo, with snapshots shared on Bee Balm’s social media—perfect for capturing your Fall for Harmony look, or showing off your vintage or décor finds! Facebook event link here.

🍷🕯️ Sips & Scents: Fall’s Perfect Pairing

Cozy up this fall at Sips & Scents, where Farm Charm and the Tipsy Side Trailer team up to bring you seasonal drinks and hand-poured candles—just across the street from each other! During this collaborative event, you can sip on delicious fall-inspired beverages while browsing beautifully crafted scents that capture the essence of the season. It’s the perfect way to indulge your senses and soak in Harmony’s autumn charm. Event Facebook page here.

🛍️ Pop-Ups, Sidewalk Sales & Downtown Fun

Shoppers peruse sidewalk sale racks during Harmony’s 2024 Fall for Harmony event.

Downtown Harmony will be alive with pop-up shops, sidewalk sales, and interactive experiences all throughout the Fall for Harmony celebration. Local shops will be offering exclusive in-store deals, door prizes, and fall-inspired finds. At Erin’s on the Avenue, stop in for a special pop-up Reiki and Reflexology event, featuring 15-minute mini sessions—perfect for a little seasonal self-care. Outside Bee Balm Boutique, check out the LL Coaching + RuthTru4U’s pop-up, offering essential oil products, chair massages, and more. From handmade goods and wellness services to unique seasonal décor and accessories, the retail scene during Fall for Harmony brings a festive open-air market vibe to Main Street you won’t want to miss.
